Time Education Gives 30 PCs to Lancashire Schools

In December Time education, in association with the Lancashire Evening Post, presented 30 PCs as prizes to schools who had collected tokens from the paper. The competition really grabbed the imagination of local school children who collected a grand total of 3,822,157 tokens.

Schools were split into three categories by size and location. The school in each category that collected the most tokens received three PCs and a total of twenty one runners up were awarded one PC.

Eric Driver, head of Time education, said "The response to the competition has been amazing with children involving their whole families. This action is part of Time education's support for the National Grid for Learning and we hope it will help the lucky schools to take advantage of this massive learning resource."

The winning schools were presented with vouchers for their prizes (which will be installed by Time engineers) at two events. The first was in Preston with Falcon, from TV's gladiators, presiding and the second was in Wigan. The children at the winning schools who collected the most tokens also received awards for their efforts.
